¡hola!

I am Cosette, a Mexican designer, anthropologist and biochemist.

I am  specializing in human behavior and cognition. For about a decade I was dedicated to research on the mind and evolution at an international level.

I have extensive experience in conceptualization and contextualization in the field of human-centred design and I have a strategic vision developed.

I am starting to develop visual communication and digital design projects with a local focus and global implementation through design thinking process.

about me

Over the last few years I have participated in international research projects in the fields of mental health, human evolution and cognition. This has led me to explore the phenomenon of the mind and its corporeal expressions in the fields of design and art.

I currently reside in Valencia, Spain, where I am in the 3rd year of the Degree in Graphic Design and Digital Media at LABA Valencia. School of Art, Design & New Media, leading several projects of creation and community building.

Since 2022 I collaborate with the contemporary art gallery House of Chappaz, one of the most important galleries in Spain.

I work in motion graphics, 3D and video art. I work applying the theory and techniques about design.. and why not? Sometimes may I broke some rules in order to create innovative ideas and disruptive designs.

Capturing unusual points of view of everyday situations, mystery, dadaist aesthetics, decontextualised objects and my fascination for surrealism, are a constant in each of my creations.

To venture into the world of design, I have chosen the nickname "ammoniite". I am fascinated by its relationship to science, art and mystery.

ammoniite

Why ammoniite?

Well, ammonites are a valuable source of information for palaeontologists and other scientists interested in studying the history of life on Earth and biological evolution.

Ammoniite is an adaptation of the name Amonet, the Egyptian deity protector of mystery, the goddess of air and creativity.

The fossilised shells of ammonites had a geometric golden ratio, considered an ideal measure for aesthetics and visual harmony.

Ammonites and their relationship to the golden ratio have been a source of inspiration for artists and designers throughout the centuries.

I have chosen the nickname "ammoniite", because this fossilised figure, mysterious and with ideal aesthetic proportions, has a correlate that is related to my main interests, which is why I have decided to take a name with great meaning and adding an "i" to bring my own expression of "interdiscipline" and "innovation" to my professional practice.
